Tumbled travertines and marble in shades of whites, yellows, creams and golds provide the palette and a wide range of sizes for laying down patterns and creating stunning insets.

We have reduced the process of 'pebble creation' (perfected by Nature over millennia) by several thousand years. Stones are still tumbled in water until they are softly rounded but we carry out the whole process in weeks rather than aeons and in such a way that we create a range of harmonised colours in (more or less) uniform sizes. 6 colourways available in sheet or border format.

Hand-set medallions are designed to complement any decor and to become the centrepiece of any floor, in any room of the house (they are especially stunning set in a hallway and viewed from a landing). Traditionally, the star in a square symbolises Hope; the compass rose within a square, the quest for earthly and heavenly perfection. And if we might bring you back to earth for a moment with thoughts of food, Medallions also make wonderful centres for outdoor dining tables.

Smooth-edged crocks of broken stones loosely arranged into interlocking shapes. It would be surprisingly difficult to achieve this seemingly artless and random effect with individual pieces. But of course, you don't have to! 3 colourways available in sheet or border format.

Times change - but not fashion it seems - these designs have been known throughout antiquity. The classic mosaic borders we offer today are made from pieces of tumbled stone that are applied to a mesh by hand, making them easy to lay as well as to transport.

Like a precious 'find' on a sea shore, this tumbled glass mosaic has qualities of softness and sheen that appeal to both eye and touch. The soft edges and aqueous tones absorb rather than reflect light and add great charm to settings, which although simple in overall effect, are full of interest and perfect for contemporary interiors. 9 colourways available.

These iridescent glass mosaics have led former lives but they have never seen better days than the here and now of their present incarnation. This mid-green slate is quarried from the heart of the Lake District. For over 300 years it has been used for flooring in Britain, giving it a heritage sought after by many architects and designers

This buff sandstone is quarried in Yorkshire and is available in sawn or riven surfaces, Yorkstone lends itself perfectly to any interior or exterior application. As illustrated, bespoke projects can be undertaken.

A pale limestone renowned for its widespread use in London architecture, Portland limestone is quarried from the Isle of Portland in Dorset.

A warm golden sandstone with brown veining and occasional splashes of mint green. A feature of this stone is the presence of dendrites; crystalline formations in the bedding planes of the stone that appear as dark brown fern-like markings on the riven face of the stone. Golden Sandstone can be ordered with or without dendrites.

Camel is a quartzite of warm honey tones with highlights of gold, buff and grey. The deeply riven texture has excellent non-slip properties.

This pale grey stone is a perfect backdrop for any contemporary or minimalist setting.

Bamboo is predominantly green/grey with mottlings and veins of gold, brown and ochre. The pronounced undulating character of the riven surface combines with the hand-dressed edges in the random format to create a floor of rare beauty.

The deep russet hues with rippling veins of copper brown give Coral Mist a most striking appearance. The riven surface is very non-slip, and on some tiles is reminiscent of a rippled sandy beach after the tide has gone out.

It begins when the 'right' clays are taken from the earth and physical impurities removed. The resulting balls of clay are shaped and cast individually into frames where they are left to dry in the sun before firing. Look at the bottom of a tile and you will see the marks of the sand bed.
