The husband and wife creative couple, Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway have designed Wet Tiles, an exciting and revolutionary range of ceramic wall tiles just for you and your home. The Hemingways are well known for their eclectic, accessible and forward thinking designs in the housing and home furnishing sectors, and the Wet collection will certainly not disappoint. They understand the ability to express ourselves and stamp our personality on our surroundings is a choice that should be available to everybody.

Commenting on Wet, Wayne Hemingway said: "We have always found it difficult to get inspired by the tiles we could buy when doing up our own home or when designing the large housing developments that Hemingway Design are involved in up and down the country. So when a British manufacturer, British Ceramic Tile, contacted us we jumped at the chance. We wanted to develop a range that challenged the traditional use of tiles and introduced an element of experimentation within the home.

Who says that tiles should only be used in the bathroom and kitchen? Bar the Toothbrush design, the Wet Collection is all about multi-room designs, so why not use them to create features and make a statement elsewhere in the house? The whole range has been fashioned to allow the consumers to take part in the design process. Gerardine and I haven't any formal design training and there are thousands out there who, given tools like the Wet range, can be creative."

The launch range has six unique designs designed to suit all rooms and fashioned for people with a sense of adventure. It mixes textures and stunning colour combinations to encourage creativity and enjoyment when styling the home. Wet has been designed exclusively for British Ceramic Tile (BCT) Ltd and manufactured under licence by them. Wet is a range of large scale tiles that lend themselves for use in almost any room of the house. The collection is priced to be an affordable aspirational design solution.

The designs are very versatile and can be used in panels and bands with stronger tiles used for effect in combination with the white on white version or just with the white version and a simple strip for a more minimal effect. The strips have been designed to work across the ranges: the mosaic looks stunning with any of the white, mink or black tiles and the pink glass co-ordinates with the eye-catching black/pink Scribble or any of the white tiles for a more feminine fee. You can also play with the look by changing the direction that the tiles are fixed on the wall by using them landscape or portrait and offsetting them to create different effects.
