A feature of this stone is the presence of dendrites; crystalline formations in the bedding planes of the stone that appear as dark brown fern-like markings on the riven face of the stone. Bamboo is predominantly green/grey with mottlings and veins of gold, brown and ochre. The pronounced undulating character of the riven surface combines with the hand-dressed edges in the random format to create a floor of rare beauty.
