Our handmade terracotta originates from where the ancient craft of producing consistently fine quality roof and floor tiles has been perfected over many centuries. It begins when the 'right' clays are taken from the earth and physical impurities removed. The resulting balls of clay are shaped and cast individually into frames where they are left to dry in the sun before firing. Look at the bottom of a tile and you will see the marks of the sand bed.
